Refine is a student-run club dedicated to helping learners build skills in finance, economics, and programming.
Our goal is to make learning finance and coding fun, practical, and empowering for young minds and help them feel confident in these skills. We are based in Canton, Michigan and host bootcamps, events, and sessions!

Hi! My name is Sara Bhatnagar, and I am a rising senior at Salem High School. As the Programming Lead, Co-President, and Co-Founder of Refine, I am excited to help students discover how technology can be used to solve real-world problems. I am especially interested in programming and enjoy finding ways to connect technical skills with topics like economics and personal finance.
Through Refine, I hope to make learning both engaging and practical by introducing students to concepts that can help them in the future. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where students can explore new ideas, build useful skills, and have fun while learning.
Outside of school, I enjoy baking, going on walks, and working on programming projects!
Hello! My name is Navya Dwivedi, and I am currently a rising senior at Washtenaw International High School and the Finance Lead, Co-President, and Co-Founder of ReFine. I am passionate about children's access to education and developing inclusive, actively engaged communities. Through ReFine, I hope to spread knowledge of various personal finance topics and equip youth with crucial skills that they may not learn in school.
I want students to feel confident learning concepts they are unfamiliar with, knowing that they are supported at ReFine. In my free time, I love playing volleyball, kayaking, and listening to music while going on walks.
I am looking forward to supporting our community by providing opportunities for youth to stay involved and curious!
